Three of us are hiking the Devils Garden trail in Arches National Park in Utah. The trail is over four miles long and crosses some interesting terrain.

  • Landscape Arch is the longest arch in the park.

  • View from Partition arch in the early morning sun.

  • From another angle, the nearby hills are visible.

  • Partition Arch is really two arches.

  • Navaho Arch is just a dead end on the other side. This picture is from inside the dead end.

  • Double O Arch is almost at the trail end. The lower arch is in the shade here.

  • Another look at Double O Arch with both arches more clearly visible.

  • The Dark Angel stands solemnly at the end of the trail.

  • Parts of the trail followed the tops of the rock fins. Everyone really enjoyed this part of the hike.

  • Looking down as the trail follows a fin off the hills back to ground level.

  • Looking back up the trail after coming down. All the people look so small.

  • Tunnel Arch (is it the left one or the right one?), is near the start of the Devils Garden Trail. We stopped to see it on the way back.

  • Pine Tree Arch is a short hike from Tunnel Arch.

  • The sun rises as we start to break camp.

  • The morning sun lights up the rocks at the campground. Is that a stone hiker climbing up the rocks?

  • As we drive through Colorado, the leaves remind us what time of year it is.
