Three of us are hiking the Devils Garden trail in Arches National Park in Utah. The trail is over four miles long and crosses some interesting terrain.
Landscape Arch is the longest arch in the park.
View from Partition arch in the early morning sun.
From another angle, the nearby hills are visible.
Partition Arch is really two arches.
Navaho Arch is just a dead end on the other side. This picture is from inside the dead end.
Double O Arch is almost at the trail end. The lower arch is in the shade here.
Another look at Double O Arch with both arches more clearly visible.
The Dark Angel stands solemnly at the end of the trail.
Parts of the trail followed the tops of the rock fins. Everyone really enjoyed this part of the hike.
Looking down as the trail follows a fin off the hills back to ground level.
Looking back up the trail after coming down. All the people look so small.
Tunnel Arch (is it the left one or the right one?), is near the start of the Devils Garden Trail. We stopped to see it on the way back.
Pine Tree Arch is a short hike from Tunnel Arch.
The sun rises as we start to break camp.
The morning sun lights up the rocks at the campground. Is that a stone hiker climbing up the rocks?
As we drive through Colorado, the leaves remind us what time of year it is.
